Taeko Okajima from Only Yesterday. I don’t even have a reason I just love her from the bottom of my heart. She is so perfect - I adore her so much. These kind of movies always hit me where it hurts. I feel like Taeko was lost but didn’t really notice; going along with life as she needed to. She was content. By the end of this movie I’m just mentally hugging her and cheering her on. Being true to herself became more important than going along with life. She decided to do something her child-self would be proud of - she decided to follow her dreams.

i know i’ve already drawn terra on the deck of the falcon before but that was the midpoint of the game, this is the ending
when she lets her hair down and stands right at the prow, it was such a great small detail that carried a lot of feeling
I found some old images when I tidied up HDD. These animated GIF were used for a presentation of Experimental Game Play Workshop 2004 at GDC. And that was my first trip to a foreign country:)
It’s done! My contribution for Janet and Arielle’s That’s So Sugoi zine!! The theme for their zine was to mash together American cartoons and Japanese anime—so I chose to mash up Slayers (NEXT, specifically) with Adventure Time!!
